Week 3…

March 25, 2009

G’day

So we are about 3 weeks into the semester. Its going sooo quickly. All of the mid-sessions are coming up fast.

I got pretty lucky with teachers this year. However….my corporatiosn law tacher inisists on one person in the class reading out the ENTIRE case extract from the text book. Its really painful.

Tomorrow we are covering the theory of corporations law. Awesome. I’m really not excited about it. She said that every person in the class is going to have to say something about the set readings. I havent done any of the readings yet. But I will!! After I finish updating.

So fashions this semester in our lovely law school? Well it appears that over the summer there was a discovery of the American Apparel store. Everyone is sporting a leotard under a parachute material skirt. Happy to report that gladiator sandals are on the way out. Although in this fab cit right now the weather is unusually warm for April. Tomorrow we have a 31 degree celcius day! Crazy….

SOmeone I would describe as my arch nemesis has come back from an overseas exchange. Thank fuck I dont have any classes with them. Sooo fucking annoying – a misoginst fuck wit who needs a good kick in the head. But whatever.

My house mates suck balls. I hate living here in this hell hole. I wish I had a tv in my room so I only ever had to go downstairs to eat. Oh well, hopefully moving to the beach in 6 months if all goes to plan!!

I think I am going to make an entry in my corporations law tomorrow – feel like I need to share the love, you know?

New Bag

January 28, 2009

So I really need a new uni bag. I love leather bags that last forever. I had an awesome tan leather satchel from Country Road but the strap broke – stitching busted from all my books (I’m such a good student taking my books to class). Well I couldn’t be bothered getting the strap fixed so here are my “I’m going to save every lousy 5 cent piece” options.

No. 1 The Tate

new-bag2
No. 2 The Carrera

new-bag-2

Both are in the Mens range but I don’t give a shit, they are super nice.

NEWS FLASH!! Ridiculous law school (and general)  fashion meets its end

In one of my earlier posts I wrote about the dumb Roman style sandals which seemed to be everywhere and pissing me off. Well I am happy to report that such a hideous fashion is on its way OUUTT! Good riddance.

Timetables SUCK!

January 28, 2009

So I thought I was super good getting in early to enrol in my classes for this semester – apparently my efforts were not good enough!

I am still left out in the cold – in class that is – on a FRIDAY afternoon from 2-4pm. Craptacular. So much for my splendid 2 1/2 day uni week. Its now turned into a 4 day uni week, being in class on average 2 1/2 hours a day. What am I supposed to do in between? The library? As if…I’d never get a fucking seat anyway.

In latest news:

- Re-signed my lease for another year. Rent has gone up 9 bucks a week, yaayy!!

- I now have a credit card. Only has 400 bucks on it but its pretty fly.

- Saw a chick from first year law down at the coffee shop the other day. She is an absolute freak-show neo-con. I was happy to just say ‘hi’ and get on my way but she insisted on having a good talk-fest. Just bearable.

I’m at work and suuuper bored. Get to go home in 15 minutes though, thank gawd. I ate pad si ew for lunch and feeling really shit house now. Anyway, laters.

Getting a little booooreed

January 12, 2009

I never thought I would say this but I am getting a little bored with no classes. What is wrong with me?? Uni doesnt start back for another 2 months – I just really want to get back into it. I need a bit of stimulation. AND I feel that I will be getting more of a holiday at uni than I am at work these days. Its stressing me out big time. The things that sucks most is that the days just drag on and on. I wish they didnt – the quicker the days go by the quicker I getting FUCKING PAID!! Yes people I am as poor as a freakin…poor person. Well below the poverty line. Tonight I oven roasted a few over ripe tomatoes (cut of the white/green bits) and stirred them through some pasta with olive oil and cracked pepper. Mmmm delicious. I then spent my last few dollars on a packet of Tim Tams to make myself feel better about my state of poverty – Im an emotional eater apparently.

Well I am going to read my book for a while to make myself feel a little sleepy, Im on a sugar high from the chcoloate.

PS I take back what I said about wanting to go back to uni already – I could stay on holidays forever. Laters.

Good motto for this year

Good motto for this year

Well I am at work and a little fidgetty. I would really like a coffee but as there are no students on campus there is nothing open. My Uni in particular is supposed to be famous for its abundance of food outlets. Well apparently not. But thats cool. Becaue instead of being crazy productive I am ranting about jack all instead.

As predicted its really cold today. Which is crazy because yesterday it was revoltingly hot. I should have gone to the beach but I didnt. I cleaned my room instead, yay for me! It was actually quite a depressing experience. I realised that I have no clothes. And I dont say that as a girl who cries “I;ve got noth-ing to weeaarr!!” (imagine whine and spoiltness in voice). No, I actually have very little clothing beyond the 3 outfits I wear day in day out. The good thing is that I don’t have to do much clothes washing – saves money and electricity. What I am most looking forward to when classes starts back is to see the sick trail of fashion victims waltzing through the hall ways. Will the country road bag be as popular as ever? Have a new style of sandal overtaken the strappy gladiator? What hideous shapre of sunglasses are all the chicks sporting? Yay for bashing strangers with comments and tease. But I did say I was depressed about not having that many clothes. Because even though I make fun of people who I liek to call “rack wearers” (because they look as though they see a manequin and say “I’ll take what shes waering”) I do actually like to have nice clothes and look half decent and not like a homeless person/orphan Annie. I also like to think that I have a bit of an original style in the clothes I wear. But who really cares. Not me.

Better get back to work.

Well Monday was the first day that the intensive courses for the summer started. Poor kids have to dit in class for 8 hours 3 days a week. Slowly but surely they are eating away at those damn courses to finally finish the god.damn.law.degree.

I have a friend who is undertaking one of these courses – which means I have someone to hang out with during my lunch break, yay!

Well the great thing about this fab city is that Summer has decided to stay, thank fuck! Unlike last year which was an absolute joke of a summer. A total of 2 beach days. I’m happy to say that I have been to the beach dozens! Dozens of times! Clicks for me and my poor traumatised skin cells.

Well I found out this morning while eating my weetbeek and nectarine that my housemate from hell is moving out, YYAAAHHOOO!!! I shouldnt be so mean – but this chick is insaaannee. I’m just begging all higher powers out there to grant me a decent new housemate, I cant take the drama anymore.

You know what else I cant take anymore? Poverty. I’m over it. Its horrible to say but I can understand why there are kids out there selling drugs and themselves to get through their freakin degrees. Its an absolute joke. I’ll be living on 28 dollars a week for the next fortnight – I’ll let you know how that goes for me. I’ll probably need to stock up on the mi goreng in the next couple of days. Mybe some more weetbix and nectarines – can’t miss breakfast you know! But I did apply for a scholarship – apparently they will let all the applicants know in a months time – I really hope I get it, I have put a list together of what I want to buy:

*push bike
*new headphones
*gym membership
*textbooks (woop!!)
*Get ahead with rent

And another thing – I was thinking about getting a credit card. I know I know – why would I want someone (re bank) to give me money to spend in such times of economic uncertainty? Exactly my point i say! I wont be able to afford to fly home if I dont get some credit to my name. Oh the dilemma. But then I was watching the boob tube and there was an ad for a debit card – which wont help me at all as I have no money, but I get 20 bucks free music downloads a month!! SheebanG! Going to check out the local branch tomorrow to suss it out. Will I get a debit card? Or ruin my life with credit? Doubt I’ll get the clearance anyway, all the banks are tight asses during our GFC.

Well back to work tomorrow – may take an ‘early break’ to go to the beach, mwwhahaha.

Laters.

Well it’s the end of the semester but our excitement about this blog is sky high. Stay tuned though, the summer term is just around the corner (MG will definately have rantings toget off her chest after day 1 I’m sure of it).

G’day

December 18, 2008

G’day. Welcome to Life is Peachee. This will be the mechanism whereby we share what really goes on within the walls of a law school classroom. Which law school you ask? Well that’s our secret. You might put all the clues together and figure it out – or you could jut enjoy the shennanigans that goes on amongst a bunch obnoxious over-achievers (and a handful of decent peers), over-zealous and incredibly irritating academics and of course us – the 3 students who think they are so above all the shit that they can comment objectively. As one very clever Cher Horowitz says: As if. Enjoy!
